Gundog Training
The next opportunity to join us for a Taster Workshop is Saturday 21st September..!
Gundog training is suited to almost any type of breed regardless of intention to work in the shooting field. However, some are more genetically predisposed with a desire to work and if we control that and turn it on when needed, our pet gundogs will have balanced, enriched lives.
Targeting, hand signals, distance control, whistle work and retrieves to hand are some of the instructed techniques.
How is Gundog Training Structured?
With frequent availability, training commences with a Taster Workshop of 2 hours limited to 6 dogs. This is suitable for any breed of dog that is safe around other dogs and people, with a basic level of training including sit, stay and recall.
Following the Workshop is the option to sign up for a course to work towards Grades, limited to 6 dogs, comprising of 4 Classes of 90 mins, fortnightly.
Our next course for members who have completed a Taster Workshop or who wish to progress their prior training is in Marble Hill Park on Saturday 21st September.
Dogs with Foundation Gundog Grade One are welcome to refresh skills and / or enrol for Grade Two / Three. There are opportunities for Beginners to progress through to Intermediate Grade Three.
